Each tablet usually contains:

• Telmisartan  an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB)

• Amlodipine  a calcium channel blocker (CCB)

Common strengths include:

• Telmisartan 40 mg + Amlodipine 5 mg

• Telmisartan 40 mg + Amlodipine 10 mg

• Telmisartan 80 mg + Amlodipine 5 mg

• Telmisartan 80 mg + Amlodipine 10 mg

• Telmisartan: Blocks the angiotensin II receptor, preventing blood vessel constriction and lowering blood pressure.

• Amlodipine: Relaxes and widens blood vessels by blocking calcium entry into vascular smooth muscle.

Together, they provide better blood pressure control than either drug alone.

• Treatment of essential hypertension

• Can help reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and kidney problems associated with high blood pressure.

• Usually taken once daily, with or without food.

• Avoid excessive alcohol intake.
