Composition:
This medicine is a liquid solution containing:

• Potassium citrate

• Magnesium citrate

• Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine)
  (together these help modify urinary chemistry and provide electrolytes)

Main Uses:

• Prevention and treatment of kidney stones (especially calcium oxalate and uric acid stones) by making urine less acidic and raising citrate levels to reduce crystal formation

• Management of renal tubular acidosis (a condition where kidneys cant properly balance body acid)

• Relief of burning sensation during urination sometimes linked to acidic urine

• Sometimes recommended as urinary alkalizer to help maintain healthy urine pH

How It Works:

• Potassium citrate raises urinary pH and citrate levels, reducing stone-forming conditions

• Magnesium citrate helps bind oxalate and reduce crystal formation

• Vitamin B6 may reduce oxalate production in the body

Common side effects may include:

• Mild stomach upset, nausea

• Diarrhea or loose stools

• Bloating or gas

Less common but serious risks (especially if misused):

• High potassium levels (hyperkalemia)  can cause irregular heartbeat, muscle weakness

• High magnesium levels (hypermagnesemia) if kidney function is poor

• Rare allergic reactions
